Drips down from your nose

And reaches your lips.

I watch

As you outstretch your tongue

And taste your tears.

Do you know that I watch you as you sleep?

I count the hours until the sun brightens your eyes.

Slides along your collarbones

And runs down your chest

I imagine

What it must feel like

And I can almost taste it myself.

Do you know that I watch you when you sing?

I can feel the melody coursing through my veins.

You stare blankly at me

I close my eyes

You wonder what I'm thinking

I turn away.

Runs through your veins

And I long to taste your heart.

But for now, I shall sit here

And imagine I am stroking your soul.
